Lucky began his career with animals in 1999 at a Veterinary practice in Johannesburg. He was introduced to Veterinary via his uncle after he assisted him at a small animal practice when he went on leave. Lucky has also had wildlife experience when he was a game ranger in Mpumalanga.
Whilst Lucky has a love for all animals, dogs remain close to his heart.
Lucky has shared his home with a maltese, a pitbull as well as a Boerbul but it is the powerbreeds that remain his most liked. He reflects on trying times in his life where animals were the best source of comfort.
During his time in small animal hospitals, animals have shown him their ability to learn and that they are far more sensitive than people would think. He describes many of his patients as “children” who thrive on love and care. He has also learnt that animals offer a deep sense of companionship and should not be seen “just as animals”.
When he is not working Lucky enjoys exercising, planting and is the go to handyman in his family.
Lucky has a wonderful and calm manor with difficult dogs which is truly valued by all those who visit Craig View.
