The preparation stations are made up of 4 legs, each one used to prep patients for their type of procedure.
Each leg has its own cleaning station and equipment needed for that routine. The necessity for establishing certain areas to work from is due to the nature of the procedure. Sterile (Clean) surgical procedures (for example a sterilisation) has a different set of formalities in comparison to what is called a Contaminated (Dirty) procedure (for example an abscess cleaning).
Situated behind these prep stations is the clinics Veterinary Centre. A glass enclosed work space designated to vets and vet nurses to manage the administrative part of their work; whilst having full view of the wards and its patients.
